The requisite documentation and information necessary for your claim to be processed is documented in the claim form below. Please note that your claim has to be reported in writing to Safire within 30 days of occurrence as per your insurance policy.

Motor theft / Hijacking claim process: 1. We will register your claim on our system upon receipt of the fully completed claim form and the supporting documentation. To avoid delays, please ensure that you send through ALL the required documentation (refer to the front page of the claim form to see what is required); 2. We will advise your broker of the claim number for reference purposes; 3. Our claim staff will review the claim and appoint an external loss adjuster. We will notify your broker of the loss adjuster’s appointment; 4. The loss adjuster will contact you directly. We normally receive the loss adjuster’s report within 7 to 9 working days. 5. Should you have the car hire extension on your policy, car hire can be arranged. Please liaise with your broker in this regard; 6. Should the vehicle be financed: a. We will request a current settlement letter and the certificate of deregistration from the finance company, on your behalf; b. We will request the deregistration certificate from the finance company. 7. Should the vehicle not be financed: a. We will require you to provide us with the original vehicle registration certificate; b. You will be requested to deregister the vehicle and provide us with the original certificate of deregistration. 8. An Agreement of Loss document will be drawn up and sent to your broker for your signature; 9. The claim will be settled on receipt of the certificate of deregistration and the signed Agreement of Loss. | Motordiefstal / Kaping Eise Proses: 1. Ons sal die eis registreer met ontvangs van die volledig voltooide eisvorm en ondersteunende dokumentasie. Om vertraging te voorkom, stuur asseblief ALLE nodige dokumentasie (sien voorkant van die eisvorm om te sien wat benodig word). 2. Ons sal die makelaar in kennis stel van die eisnommer vir verwysingsdoeleindes. 3. Ons eise personeel sal die eis nagaan en ‘n assessor aanstel. Ons sal die makelaar in kennis stel van die assessor se aanstelling. 4. Die assessor sal u direk kontak. Normaalweg ontvang ons die assessor se verslag binne 7 tot 9 werksdae. 5. Indien jy motorhuur uitbreiding op jou polis het, kan motorhuur gereël word. Kontak jou makelaar in die verband. 6. Indien die motor nog onder huurkoop is: a. Ons sal ‘n huidige aflosbedrag en die motor se registrasiedokument van die finansieringsmaatskappy namens aanvra jou; b. Indien nodig sal ons die deregistrasie dokument van die finansieringsmaatskappy aanvra; 7. Indien die voertuig nie gefinansier is nie: a. Jy sal ons moet voorsien van die oorspronklike motor registrasie sertifikaat; b. Indien ‘n deregistrasiedokument benodig word sal ons jou versoek om die motor te deregisteer en ons van die oorspronklike motor deregistrasiesertifikaat te voorsien; 8. ‘n Ooreenkoms van Verlies sal opgestel word en aan jou makelaar gestuur word om deur jou onderteken te word. 9. Die eis sal betaal word met ontvangs van die motor deregistrasiesertifikaat en die getekende ooreenkoms van Verlies. |
