We welcome Tanya Hulse to the Safire Board

We are delighted to announce that Tanya Hulse has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Safire, effective from 1 December 2024.

Safire CEO Pierre Bekker says, “Tanya brings a wide range and impressive depth of expertise in critical areas to Safire and we sincerely welcome her to the Board.”

Tanya, who lives in Pietermaritzburg with her family, is a chemical engineer with technical and leadership experience in a diverse range of fields, including production management, brewery operations, process engineering and optimisation, talent development and training, and leadership and business capability development. She is widely travelled and has worked in numerous countries around the world including the UK, USA, China, Switzerland, Tanzania and Mozambique.

She studied chemical engineering at UCT, with further studies through UNISA and Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, while working for major global companies including Unilever and SAB/SABMiller.

She is currently the managing director of Training Leadership Consulting (TLC), where she is head of operations and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s performance. She plays a key role in the company’s client liaison and marketing, as well as business and product development, finance and regulatory compliance, and leads a team of full-time and part-time consulting experts. While at the helm of TLC, she has worked with clients in various sectors including electronics, dairy, insurance, plastic manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals.
