PROMOTION OF ACCESS TO INFORMATION ACT 2 OF 2000 (PAIA)

This is a freedom of information law in line with the South African Constitution, which states: “Everyone has a right of access to any information held by the state and any information held by another person that is required for the exercise or protection of any rights.”

This means that all people in South Africa, including non-nationals, can request information from public and private bodies, with the aim of promoting transparency, accountability and effective governance. In line with our Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) policy, we have attached a copy of the Safire Privacy Manual in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act and all required forms for convenience.
