Making a difference

During the year, Safire staff support various worthy causes. In 2018 we collected books for school libraries and donated stationery and art materials to schools in need. We also have a “knitter-natter” drive where people can add a few rows to the beanies and other knitted items that are ‘works in progress’ in our staff relaxation area.

On Madiba Day in July, we visited the Riverside Old Age Home and the Joseph Baynes Children’s Home with warm socks and gloves, cake and other treats. We were back to visit our favourite grannies and little ones in December, laden with Christmas treats.
